1.  We turn to you, Our Mother of Good Counsel, as we seek to imitate your faith-filled life.

May we be led by the same Wisdom which God sent forth from heaven to guide you along unfamiliar paths and through challenging decisions. 

Keep us united in mind and heart as we go forward in joyful hope toward the grace-filled freedom that Augustine recommends.

O Virgin Mother of Good Counsel, hear our prayer as we look to you for guidance.

Pray for us to our loving and merciful Father, to Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the Holy Spirit, giver of all wisdom one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.

2.  Devotional Prayer to Our Blessed Mother

We fly to your protection, most holy Mother of God; please listen to our petitions and needs, and deliver us from all dangers, ever glorious and blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary, our model and mother, by your obedience and patience you have taught us how to be true children of God.  Please help us by your powerful assistance to overcome all our weaknesses, and to fulfill perfectly our tasks in life.

By your compassionate aid may we ever stand in spirit with you beneath the cross of Christ so that we may also rejoice with you in your divine Son’s triumphant victory over sin and death.

In your maternal kindness help us to be faithful to prayers in the company of God’s Church as you were one with the Apostles in the upper room as you waited for the promised Spirit at Pentecost.
With your gracious assistance may we be near you in the glory of Christ’s kingdom come to sing with you and all the faithful the eternal praise of God.  Amen.

O Mary, Virgin most prudent,

Intercede for us with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

3.  To Mary

Mary, I renounce my spirit, and I ask for your spirit.
Mary, take away my thoughts and give me your thoughts.
Mary, take away my desires and give me your desires.
Mary, take away my feelings and give me your feelings.

I am totally yours and everything I have I offer You.  O my beloved Jesus, through Mary Your Most Holy Mother.

Come Holy Spirit, come by means of powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your well-beloved spouse.

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee; Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Mother of Good Counsel, give us good counsel.  Amen.
